Job Description

Located: Pomona

Pay: $75k-$95k

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Manage cash flow, monitor financial performance, and provide short- and long-term financial projections
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership and board members
  • Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards, state regulations, and grant requirements
  • Develop and maintain organizational budgets, analyzing variances and recommending adjustments
  • Support grant applications and ensure accurate financial reporting for funding sources
  • Prepare and submit required state funding reports, including quarterly filings
  • Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure accurate transaction processing and reporting
  • Contribute to financial strategy and long-term sustainability planning
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years of senior-level experience in non-profit financial management
  • Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and compliance standards
  • Experience with grant funding, reporting, and state-funded program requirements
  • Familiarity with CPARIS (California Preschool Accounting Reporting Information System) preferred
  • Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
